Congratulations to our brothers and sisters in Christ at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Macon, GA, for graciously hosting the Central Conference Oratorical Festival on Saturday, March 14th. Holy Cross Church leaders offered not only hospitality, but a sacred space where the voices of our young people could be heard, encouraged, and celebrated.
This festival is significant because it reminds us that the faith of the Church is not only preserved, but proclaimed. Through thoughtful preparation, prayerful reflection, and courageous public witness, our youth gave expression to the timeless truths of the Orthodox faith in language shaped by their own hearts and experiences.
Gathered as one body, our clergy, parents, judges, and faithful were uplifted by the unity of our Church and the promise embodied in these young orators. May today’s festival inspire all of us to nurture, listen to, and support the next generation of faithful witnesses to Christ.
Blessed name day on March 15 to this beloved parish on the Sunday of the Holy Cross.
