Christ is risen! Through God’s grace, St. Christopher parishioners experienced a spiritually uplifting Great Lent, Holy Week, and Pascha. We are deeply grateful for your countless gifts of time, talents, and contributions during this time and throughout the year. Let us pray that we continue to grow even stronger in our journey to our Risen Lord. During this Bight Week and beyond, Fr. George encourages us to continue to seek daily strength and sustenance from Him through personal prayer, reading Holy Scripture, serving others, and communing with His Holy Body. Let us join together and continue to pray for peace and healing for all those who are sick and in need and let us offer ourselves as God’s co-workers as opportunities arise. Thank you for your support and encouragement. Our Risen Lord “thirsts” for us to stop and take in His “water of eternal life” each day. What great mercy our Savior Jesus Christ has been offering us during Great Lent, Holy Week, and Pascha. Please do not let it end! Amen!

Stewardship – Giving Time, Talent and Treasure As a member of St. Christopher’s, all of us are stewards, and we accept responsibility for protecting, managing, and caring for our parish. We hold it in trust for those of blessed memory who helped to create it and we nurture it for future generations who will inherit it. Stewardship becomes actionable through our Time, Talent, and Treasure, contributions we each make to ensure that we can achieve our vision. Gifts of Treasure are the financial commitments we make through our pledges to the Annual Stewardship Campaign to support our staff, our operations, the religious education of our children and adults and all of our ministries. We encourage pledging because making and keeping promises is an important spiritual discipline that creates faithfulness and mutual responsibility. Pledges also help our parish to plan wisely. We thank those who have already completed their 2019 Stewardship Pledge! If you have not had the opportunity to complete your 2019 please click on this link https://goo.gl/forms/Z5uQJSgvzoo1xC7E2 to complete your pledge online. In order to approve our 2019 budget at this Sunday's General Assembly we need to know what our pledges are. Please do not hesitate to contact me at gsjs401mg@gmail.com with any questions. We are deeply grateful for the loving generosity that you and your family provide and we thank you for your offerings of Time, Talents and Treasurers. Faithfully, Julie Skouteris

"Go Red" for Women is the American Heart Association’s national call to increase awareness and help prevent heart disease, the number one killer of American women. This is a call for women, to take charge of their well-being and live stronger, healthier lives. The statistics make it clear that awareness is important. Ninety percent of women have one or more risk factors for developing heart disease. Only one in five women believes that heart disease is her greatest health risk. Eighty percent of cardiac events in women could be prevented if women made the right choices for their hearts. Join in the mission to increase awareness and help prevent heart disease in women today! The National Philoptochos Society promotes the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. Improve awareness by sharing information with your Philoptochos sisters, your parish community and all the women you know and love. The American Heart Association has designated Friday, February 1, 2019 as National Wear Red Day. In support of this program, The National Philoptochos Society is designating Sunday, February 3, 2019 as Go Red Sunday and are asking Philoptochos sisters across the country to join the movement and wear red, when attending Church services.
