Fr. George and 12 parishioners offered the "Good News" of the Resurrection Gospel at the Agape Vespers Service on April 19th, 10 of which had been prerecorded to ensure compliance with CDC, civil, and religious guidelines.

Thanks to our families who joined us for our first virtual town hall. From the safety of our homes, we shared news. While optional, the last participants left 2.5 hours later! We agreed this platform would enable our parishioners to stay in touch with weekly "Virtual Coffee Fellowships" every Sunday at 3:00 p.m. We brainstormed ideas on how to honor our mothers, both living and deceased on Mother's Day (May 10). So thankful for those who participated in our Holy Week Projects, including the Patricks for their family project to construct a home Kouvouklion (tomb of Christ), the Kletos for dying the Paschal Eggs as a family for Fr. George to bless, and the Wilsons for showing us how to make candles for sharing the Paschal light with our family.

In his sermon on April 12th, Fr. George explained the welcome the followers of Jesus offered with their palms when He entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. To bring our families closer together after celebrating Palm Sunday Online, Fr. George asked that each family take a "selfie" family photo with palms crosses or with their "home church" visible. Parishioners please email them to Fr. George by Monday, April 13 at 9:00 p.m.

Parishioners and Friends of our parish may view our scheduled services and mark their calendars now. Keep in mind that due to CDC, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the need for social distancing, our church is not open to the public and only a handful of parishioners are assisting Fr. George with scheduled services, all of which can be viewed via live video streaming. Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you don't miss any services.

Fr. George commends our parish for having already followed the executive order issued by Mayor Vanessa Fleisch on March 25th, effective March 26th. Again, our church is closed to worshipers except for the four persons assisting Fr. George with church services. Please stay at home, wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, nose, or eyes, and practice social distancing. While the maximum limit in attendance without a fine is 10, Fr. George changed the number of persons in attendance to no more than 5 before the Mayor's Executive Order. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Parishioners offered thanksgiving and praise to God for the blessings they will enjoy in February - birthdays, Name Days, wedding anniversaries, and Chrismations. We thank them for donating funds to our parish building and operating funds. We also thank parishioners for donating to Fayette Samaritans for our 2020 Souper Bowl of Caring Hands of Love effort. Thanks also to Faye Georgeo for offering and preparing the five loaves of bread which Fr. George blessed in the Artoklasia Service after the Divine Liturgy. Thanks also to Faye and those who assisted her offer our monthly “Lunch and Learn” event before Religious Education classes.

Fr. George administered the Oath of Office to our 2020 Parish Council Members on Sunday, January 12, 2020. May God bless them as they serve our parish. We thank them for their sacrifices on our behalf.
